Delaware
Unleashed -
Best of DU (and some new numbers)

Patchwork's
Annual Cabaret
The Delaware Unleashed series
was great fun for cast and audiences alike. All good things must, however, come
to an eventual end. Creating the show is a lot of work and we occasionally need
to take a break. We considered a "book" musical, but nothing really
inspired us. There will be no Summer Fundraiser in 2007. Look for something
brand new in 2008.

Having recovered from the rigors of last year's show (and accompanying
parties), and against whatever better judgment we're supposed to have, we
decided to proceed with "DU5". Within about six hours of the
"just after midnight" start of ticket sales, Delaware Unleashed
Again was virtually sold out, with a lengthy waiting list. We even had a
full house for Dress Rehearsal, and opening weekend audiences have
enthusiastically proclaimed it "the best yet".
This is the 5th show in a series of spoofs and parodies about Delaware.
We highlight and make fun of our politics, our local celebrities and the
eccentricities of our fair state. Of course it's all in good fun! The show
is performed in our auditorium cabaret style with snacks and drinks served at
your seat.
Show Dates: 6/16, 6/17, 6/23, 6/24, 6/30, 7/1, 2006

In 2000, Delaware Unleashed included some old standards and some sure-to-become- favorites such as
our salute to the Men in Orange, "Deldot's Back (And You're Gonna Be In
Trouble)," "How Are Things In Cape Henlopen?," and "Whatever
Ruth Ann Wants (Ruth Ann Gets)."
Delaware Unleashed Again revisited some of these themes in 2001 and unveiled a few more gems from the
Diamond State, including our salute to NASCAR, "Racing in Dover (Over and
Over)," "Ruth Ann," and "Country Roads."
2002's ... The Final Chapter added to the list of memorable songs with a
salute to the phenomenal growth of "Happy Harry's" and to lines at the
DMV ("The Longest Time"). "State Fair Nights,"
"Gordon's Pond," and "Suddenly Seaford" add to the Delaware
lore.
The 2004 Summer Fundraiser, which never did get an official title, was sold out more than a month before it opened, with a long
waiting list. Audience comments indicated that they REALLY enjoyed it. You can see a picture of
the cast.
